Joseph Institute For Rural Development, a voluntary organisation, with the vision to adopt an integrated approach towards rural development was established in 1981 with the inspiration of Late. Joseph Reznicsek who had a burning desire for social justice and development for rural people.

Organization has good experience in the area of relief and rehabilitation work. They have organized several flood relief camps, specially food supply and medical camps during floods. It has provided training on income generating activities to marginal groups to make them self-reliant.

Main operational area of JIFORD lies in Deoria district of Uttar pradesh. It is centrally located in eastern U.P. This area has a sustained problem of flood. Dalit Population is the prominent caste configurations in this area and large number of people are living under deprivation. The area has a strong agricultural base but the people have very small land holding and they don't get sufficient food commodities for the whole family around the year. Economy of the region is totally dependent on agriculture and allied activities.

Margshree Charitable Trust (M.C.T) is a voluntary organization registered in 1994 under "Indian Trust Registration Act 1882; It is working in the Bundelkhand region since 1998 for upliftment of the most vulnerable and weaker section of the population.

The project area of M.C.T falls in Jhansi district, which is located at south - western border in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. Bundelkhand region is one of the richest areas in terms of natural resources, but the area is grossly undeveloped. Major problems associated with this region are those of drought, development disparities due to industrialization, lack of potable water and declining economic and social status of indigenous population. It is one of the backward areas because of low productivity, lack of awareness and social evils like casteism, inequality, child abuse, etc. so there is an urgent need for the total development of the communities in this region. Organization is having long-standing experiences of 10 years in rendering social development work.

Main focus area on which organization has been concentrating is strengthening local self-governance, health & sanitation, education & women empowerment, developing indigenous systems of livelihood etc. In addition to motivating people to came together and jointly dealing with the issues, activities such as information dissemination, setting up of non formal education centers, organizing camps and campaigns on local issues related to rights of the people are also its areas of operations.

VATSALYA was formed in the year 1995 by a group of professional medical doctors with a vision of " health for all" especially in rural and urban slum areas. Organization aims to create community based sustainable environment teaching to harmonize human growth and health.

Vatsalya attempts to address issues of medico- social interest like AIDS, female feticide, and infanticide, Cancer etc.emerging in the society by rediscovering their inner strength of internalizing, primary consciousness towards awareness generation with gender sensitive perspective. As rural areas have very limited access to public health services, VATSALYA tries to ensure community's participation in addressing rural health related issues.

Vatsalya was set up as a ' Resource center for health ' that would contributes to the consistent endeavor toward the upliftment of the common man, residing in rural as well as urban areas, in context to health.

'Vatsalya' is committed toward capacity building of the grass root functionaries, making available enriching literature in easy to understand language, and strengthening the ongoing attempts by providing consultancy services, marching toward a harmonious healthy society by advocating for the social health issues.
